The quickest way to check an Atli plan is to open the WhatsApp or Telegram chat where you bought it and type data or usage. Your phone also keeps its own data count, which is useful when you want to find the app responsible for a sudden jump.
Check your Atli plan in the chat
- Open your Atli conversation in WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Send
dataorusage. - Check the card for Used, Left and Time Left.
- Tap Refresh Usage if you want a new reading from the network.
If you have more than one plan, Atli shows a card for each one, with active plans first. A plan that has not started yet appears as ready rather than counting down.
Running low does not mean installing another eSIM. Buy another plan in the same chat and it is added to the Atli eSIM already on your phone. If a queued plan covers your location, it takes over when the current plan runs out.
See which apps used data on iPhone
Open Settings > Cellular or Mobile Service, select the Atli line if needed, then scroll down to the app list. The screen shows cellular use for the current statistics period.
Apple does not reset that period when a new travel plan starts. Tap Reset Statistics at the beginning of your trip if you want the phone’s total to cover this trip only. You can also turn cellular access off for an app that should wait for WiFi.
The phone’s total can differ from the Atli card. Apple describes the carrier’s measurement as the most accurate record for the current billing period, so use the Atli card when deciding how much plan data remains.
Check usage and set a warning on Android
The exact menu name depends on the phone.
On a Google Pixel, open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs, choose the Atli eSIM, then open App data usage or Data warning & limit. You can set a warning below the plan allowance so the phone alerts you before the data is gone.
On a Samsung Galaxy, the usual path is Settings > Connections > Data usage > Billing cycle and data warning. Set the cycle date to the start of your trip, then choose a warning that leaves you some room.
Android and the mobile network may count data differently. Google recommends checking with the carrier for the authoritative total, which in this case is the reading in your Atli chat.
If the balance is falling faster than expected
Start with the app list in your phone settings. Video, photo backups, app updates and a laptop connected to your hotspot can use much more data than messages or maps.
Turn on Low Data Mode for the Atli line on iPhone or Data Saver on Android. Pause cloud backups and automatic updates until you have WiFi. The travel data-saving guide has the settings in one place.
If the Atli card says data remains but the phone will not connect, work through the eSIM no-data checklist. A balance check cannot show whether the correct data line or roaming setting is selected.
Checked against Atli’s current usage cards and plan lifecycle, Apple cellular-data guidance and Google Pixel data-usage guidance, August 2026. Menu names vary by phone and software version.
